Groms school holiday camp

EQUIPMENT & LEVELS
Surfers in the intermediate and mini grom/advanced beginner level must supply their own equipment.
Surfers in the intermediate level must be on hardboards.
Mini grom level can be a mix of hardboard or soft top.
LOCATION:
Each day we will aim to surf the best conditions between Coolangatta and Burleigh. A message will be sent out each evening with the location, meeting zone and any other related information. A final confirmation will be sent at 6.00am each morning. Please be aware that we may surf any location between these zones, your child will need to be comfortable doing so. Please note that it is possible a location may change when the text is sent out if necessary.
We will try to host all groups at same location as best we can.

DROP OFF / PICK UP:
If dropping your child and heading off, please advise us before the day, and arrange a suitable pick up location.
We will be at the beach 15 mins prior to the start time and 15 mins after the conclusion of the last session.
WAIVER / PAYMENTS:
A liability waiver will be sent to you once you have booked in. Payment needs to be made to complete booking and confirm your spot/s. We do have a maximum capacity and once it is reached we can no longer take anymore surfers.

Join the Gold Coast’s ultimate surf camp in the school holiday’s. Surf the best location for the conditions each day. We go over and above to make sure the groms have a great experience. Our coaches are qualified lifeguards as well as have all nessacery qualifications.
We have 2 groups running each day!
INTERMEDIATE GROMS:
Able to surf independently up to 3-4 foot waves (overhead)
Confident surfing out the back
Likely to have participated in the program before
Focussed on technical surfing, basic turns, cutbacks, build strength and eliminate weaknesses, video analysis is used for these surfers
&
ADVANCED BEGINNER & MINI GROMS:
Have basic surfing experience and knowledge
Confident in waves up to 2 foot (waist to shoulder height)
Have experience riding whitewash and small unbroken waves
Have own gear and equipment
Able to manoeuvre back out through small waves unassisted at times
Please note: We utilise a back-up day if required due to unforeseen circumstances such as large swell, hazardous surf or weather conditions. GCSE will make the final decision and if any days are cancelled, refunds may be given or gift vouchers / credit obtained.
North sumatra surf camp

Our Tropic Surf Camp will take us to North Sumatra, a remote area of West Indonesia.
Limited accommodation and travel paths allow surfers to rediscover the idyllic Indonesian surf and travel experience full of culture, nature and perfect surf.

Tropic Surf Camp is best suited to surfers aged 18yrs+ with advanced beginner to advanced level skill.
COACHING:
During surf sessions there will be a surf coach and local guides to ensure that you are positioned in the best spots to select and ride the best waves for your ability!
We will utilise video analysis methods to break down technique after each surf session when back on land, in preparation for the next day of coaching.
WAVES:
There are uncrowded waves all along the south and western side of the island with breaks that we have surfed that are yet to be named and some yet to even be discovered.
Within 5 to 45 minutes from the resort, there are at least 10 quality waves. Ranging from super hollow reefs to more mellow slow peeling beach breaks.
Every evening the guides and surf coaches will discuss the best options for the next day. After an early morning swell, wind, and tide check the call will be made for the group to best suit each surfers ability.
Typically, you can surf one spot in the morning and one or even two spots in the afternoon. We know that everyone has different surfing levels but the beauty of the island is that there are plenty of different wave options to match or push your ability.

The accommodation consists of luxury villas that house 2 - 4 guests per villa depending on the group size and how the guests choose to travel (partners / singles / with children etc). Please note: rooms are shared with 2 single beds per room.
There are private bathrooms per villa, a pool, pool table + dartboard, wifi, an entertainment hub, air conditioning in all rooms and 3 delicious meals daily.

WAVES:
There are perfect waves all around the camp for different levels.
This trip is best suited to surfers +18 yrs with advanced beginner - advanced skill level. Surfers must be able to ride along the face of unbroken green waves at lest head height.
Within 5-25 minuets boat ride from the resort, there are at least 15 world class surf breaks. Ranging from super hollow reef breaks to mellow peeling breaks.
Every evening surf coaches & guides will discuss the best options for the group for the following day.
COACHING:
During surf sessions there will be an expert surf coach and local guide to ensure you are well positioned for waves & provide experienced feedback and support.
We will utilize video analysis at night in preperation for the next day in the water.

Accomodation consists of villas that house 2-4 guests per villa depending on the group size.
Females and males will be assigned seperatly (unless they are partners).
Each villa has air conditioning for a refreshing climate, a plush and supportive mattress ensuring a restful night’s sleep and a well-appointed bathroom with a rejuvenating hot water shower.
The resort has a pool, wifi and entertainment hub with a bar.

New Zealand Surf Camp

Personalised surf coaching, wildlife adventures, fishing and uncrowded waves are on the horizon for those who seek to find.
Our Surf Camp will take us to Kaikoura, a picturesque town on the East Coast of New Zealand’s South Island for 6 days of surf coaching and more.
Known for its remote location 2 hours drive north of Christchurch, Kaikoura’s surf is backdropped by snow capped mountains and scenery that blows your mind from the moment you drive into town. Kaikoura is famous for its wildlife including whales, dolphins, and seal colonies as well as being a great location to surf, fish and dive.

Our New Zealand Surf Camp is best suited to surfers aged 18yrs+ with advanced beginner to advanced level skill. Meaning, as a minimum requirement surfers are independent at catching waves and riding along the face of unbroken green waves.
WAVES:
Kaikoura has multiple waves that suit a range of abilities. These waves range from long point points, peaky beach breaks and everything in-between.
COACHING:
During surf sessions there will be a surf coach with extensive knowledge of the area to ensure that you are positioned in the best spots to select and ride the best waves for your ability!
We will be utilizing several video analysis methods to break down technique after each surf session when back on land, in preparation for the next day of coaching.
It is helpful that you have had coaching with us, but not compulsory.

The accommodation is a shared house, within walking range to local shops, bars and restaurants. The waves are a short drive away. The house consists of 3 private bedrooms (queen size bed) and 2 shared rooms (twin share).
The rooms are sold on a first in - first served basis.
Please note the private rooms come at an extra cost.
There are 3 shared bedrooms, private bathroom, excellent wifi, television with Netflix and Disney+, outdoor area, bbq and 3 daily meals provided.
