OUR STORY
Gold Coast Surf Experience is a family owned business, launched by owner Taylor McNeill who has 25 years of surfing experience and 15+ years of coaching wisdom. Taylor has coached and surfed competitively at a national level whilst working in lead roles at surf schools around Europe, New Zealand and Australia.
In 2022 Gold Coast Surf Experience hit the beach with our first client, fast forward to present day and we have an incredible team of coaches, run daily coaching sessions, local school holiday programs and host international surf camps.
We are here to further assist you whether you’re new to the sport, looking to progress the skills you already have or an experienced surfer looking for the best waves on the coast, we are here to help.
We welcome all surfers, ages and walks of life to join our surf community, let us guide you towards reaching your full potential in the waves.

OUR LOCATion
Gold Coast Surf Experience primarily operates at Tallebudgera Beach. Situated on the southern side of the world famous Burleigh Headland, Tallebudgera beach and the nearby creek are famous for their picturesque white sand and crystal clear water. The creek is one of the Gold Coast’s most popular swimming destinations for locals and tourists on any given day. The Tallebudgera Surf Club is situated right next to our surf van and serves up amazing food and cold drinks for your post-surf refreshments.
We are dedicated to finding the best waves suitable for your level making the experience memorable, therefore we may utilise several other permitted beaches in the case of conditions being unsuitable at Tallebudgera. You will be notifed 24 hours in advance if changes are made to the location of your session.

Owner & Head Coach
Taylor has 25+ years of surfing experience and has travelled the world extensively surfing. Taylor surfed competitively at a national level and worked in lead coaching roles at surf schools in Europe, New Zealand and Australia. Taylor is a highly qualified surf coach, professional beach lifeguard with the Gold Coast City Council and registered primary school teacher.

Photographer & Social Media Manager
Savannah is a Co-Owner. She creates content for our Gold Coast Surf Experience socials + hosts our surf photography sessions. Savannah grew up at Angourie Point, so you can bet your bottom dollar she's pretty handy on the waves too! Savannah is often around to film your coaching session and capture the best moments.

Eddie Read
Coach
Eddie has 25+ years of surfing experience and competed on the world tour as a professional bodyboarder. Eddies expert knowledge of the ocean has allowed him to coach and mentor surfers abroad in Europe, as well as here in Australia. Eddie is a professional beach lifeguard keeping our Gold Coast beaches safe. His experience and passion for the sport makes him a great asset to our coaching team!

Coach
Jesse has 25+ years of surfing experience and has travelled the world extensively chasing perfect waves. Over the past decade Jesse has spent much of his time dedicated to chasing swells around Indonesia and spending time living in Uluwatu. He is a talented surfer who will no doubt help you to improve your skills and understanding of the ocean.

Our coaches have up to date First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Blue Card, CPR and Advanced Resuscitation Award, Foundation / Progression Surf Coach Award and Ocean Safety Certificates.
Surf Coach awards are recognised by Surfing Queensland and Surfing Australia.
